- ED conducts raids at Indiabulls Finance Centre in Delhi, Mumbai; group stocks tank up to 20%
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday conducted raids at offices of Indiabulls Finance Centre in Delhi and Mumbai, official sources said. The ED search is on the basis of an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) registered by the ED under the Palghar police regarding a first information report against Indiabulls Housing Finance (IBHL) for allegedly siphoning off funds and for accounting irregularities committed by the promoters and directors of the company during 2014-2020. - Delhi: Two killed as speeding Mercedes rams into truck; three injured
Two persons were killed and three others injured in the early hours of Saturday after they allegedly rammed their Mercedes car into a moving truck in Delhi Cantonment area in southwestern part of the city, police said. Speaking about the recovered suspected bag of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from Old Seemapuri, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana on February 18 in Delhi informed that as per the probe, these IEDs were prepared to execute blasts in public places. He also said that such attacks are not possible without the support of locals.“An IED was recovered in Ghazipur on January 17, a similar IED was recovered and neutralised in Old Seemapuri yesterday. The inauguration ceremony was spread over a week, during which then Viceroy also dedicated the All-India War Memorial Arch, now known as India Gate, on February 12 that year in memory of the soldiers who died in the First World War (1914-1918) and the Third Anglo-Afghan War (1919). Under the scheme, people aged 60 years and above are sent on pilgrimage to 15 routes on trips fully sponsored by the Delhi government. The government pays for travel, accommodation and other expenses of each pilgrim who can also take along an attendant with them. The scheme halted due to the second Covid wave last year was resumed with a train of pilgrims leaving for Ayodhya on December 3, 2020. Pilgrims also went to Rameshwaram and Dwarka before the pandemic applied brake on the scheme.
